Chicago IL (February 4, 2014) RightHand Technologies is proud to announce that they shipped their 1000th Bulkhead Display Unit (BDU) for business jet inflight entertainment systems. The BDU design, created entirely by the RightHand Technologies engineering team, includes fanless electronics, embedded OS & video processing firmware, and a mechanical enclosure for a bulkhead display designed for business jets that passed RTCA DO-160 and DO-178 Qualification testing.
The bulkhead display unit is assembled and tested in the RightHand Technologies factory in Chicago Illinois, shipped to our client for integration into the full inflight entertainment system before being installed into the end-user’s aircraft.
“This is quite a significant accomplishment, and we want to thank everyone who helped make this milestone possible”, said Steve Valentor, RightHand Technologies President.
“The bulkhead display was the first of a growing number of products that we have qualified for the FAA. It is also the first complete Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) designed by our engineers and built in our factory. The success of this device proves that we are able to build a truly world-class product.“
